A juvenile Iceland Gull in the gull roost was the highlight, the first of the winter and hopefully an incentive for more people to get down there looking. Also the drake Shoveler, 6 Gadwall, quite a few Common Snipe off the west bank at dusk and a Tawny Owl calling. The ad. male Mute Swan seen on 29 Jan. had been colour-ringed (as an adult) on 1 Sept. 2014 at Clay Cross, later being sighted at Thrybergh CP near Rotherham on 7 Dec 2014 and at Ogston on 19 Jan 2015.
