The second Black-necked Grebe of the year, a juvenile , was found at the south end of the reservoir this morning and showed well until early afternoon at least though could not be found subsequently. Two Ospreys showed this morning and one caught a fish & departed NW @1800. A Redstart in the north car park was the first of the autumn and the fourth so far this year, they have been less than annual recently. Also 133 Canada Geese, 5+ Little Egrets, 4 Gadwall (female & 3 juvs), 14 Mandarins inc. 12 on Milltown Inlet, ad Hobby, ad Yellow-l-Gull, 5 Common Terns and two Spotted Flycatchers.
