129 Canada & 15 Greylag Geese, 3 Mandarins, 16 Gadwall, 5 Tufteds, 4 Goldeneye, 6 Goosander, 2 GCGrebes, single Sparrowhawk & Kestrel, 2 Buzzards, 4 Oystercatchers, 17 Lapwings, 2 Curlews, 8 Snipe, 26 Common Gulls, a Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Tits, 7 Meadow Pipits 10 Reed Buntings. One of two Redwings behind the hides had missing feathers on the nape & mantle and a drooped right wing suggesting a close encounter with a predator of some sort, despite this & the weather it had found a snow free patch besides a fallen log and was throwing leaf litter around with some gusto & pecking away at the exposed invertebrates, living in the moment. Birds are incredible.
