My first visit since Tuesday due to the weather, roads passable with care, don’t know if anyone’s been down? A big clear out of Lapwings, increase in Canada Geese, Snipe on view in the snow and a nice little bonus with two pairs of Pintail. Totals as follows; 3 Mute Swans, 137 Canada & 22 Greylag Geese, 4 Pintail in Chapel Bay, 2 Gadwall, 11 Tufteds, 2 Pochard, 2 Goldeneye, drake Goosander, 7 GCGrebes, 2 Oystercatchers, 6 Lapwings-with a dead one in front of the Member’s Hide, 26 Common Snipe, ad Yellow-legged Gull, a Willow Tit and still c50 Linnets. A single Meadow Pipit out on the west bank was literally blown over by the strong ENE wind.
