107 Canada Geese, 14 Gadwall, drake Wigeon, drake Shoveler, 8 Tufted Ducks, 8 Pochard, 2 Goldeneye, 14 Moorhens and just four Coots, 8 Little Grebes, 3 Common Snipe and 21 Lesser Redpolls. Highlight was a Hawfinch on the east bank of the reservoir found by Brian Hill around one o’clock. Like most areas away from the west bank & hide areas the east bank receives little attention from birders but of course there are birds to be found out there ‘in the wilds’.
