1 Mute Swan, 58 Greylags, 2 Little Egrets, 33 Teal, Yellow-b-Teal, 5 Mandarins, three G.C.Grebe broods of 3, 2 & 1, c10 C. Buzzards, 3 Sparrowhawks, 1 Kestrel, 1 ad Hobby hawking insects to the north of the res, 1 Raven, 3 Kingfishers and a Willow Tit. Also of interest Ogston’s first Long-winged Conehead, a type of bush cricket, was recorded today in front of the west car park. First recorded in the county in 2006 at Lullington, it has since proved to be quite widespread in lowland eastern Derbyshire.
