A blue Snow Goose was with c60 Greylags, 3 Gadwall, 3 Wigeon, 52 Cormorants, 47 G.C.Grebes, 59 Common Snipe was an excellent count and a Ringed Plover was the first of the year and only the second January record for the site. 2 Willow Tits, c10 Goldfinches & 5+ Linnets. The gull roost produced the goods again with an adult Iceland Gull, probably last week’s bird and a juvenile Glaucous Gull. A few highlights over the weekend included 13 Goosander on Friday (6th), 47 G.C.Grebes, c150 Pinkfeet over, 2 Shoveler, Glaucous -type hybrid in the roost and 3 Woodcocks out of Carr Wood on Saturday (7th) and 64 Greylags, 4 Tree Sparrows, c40 Siskins and a Brambling on Sunday (8th).
