Highlight today and bird of the year so far was a Great Grey Shrike in the South (Fisherman’s) car park at around 1500 hrs. Though not seen subsequently well worth looking out for tomorrow, this is Ogston’s sixth record with the last in the early part of 2007 being the first for thirty-five years. Also 33 Greylag & 21 Canada Geese, 2 Mandarin, 3 Gadwall, 2 Tufteds, 2 Goldeneye, 11 Goosander, 4 Oystercatchers and a Curlew.
