Butterflies: Plenty of butterflies about this morning – Comma, Essex Skipper (see photo – the key characteristic separating this from the Small Skipper is the black underside to the antennae tips), Gatekeeper, Green-veined White, Large White, Meadow Brown, Ringlet, Small Skipper.
Moths: Golden Argent (photo below), Shaded Broad-bar.
Dragonfly: Common Darter.
Amphibians: Froglet.
Plants: A Marsh Ragwort in flower opposite entrance to the Garden area (Cyril’s Patch). A Wild Carrot in flower in C3a, Wild Angelica on the bank of the brook beside the main bridge.
