JMNR butterfly transect – 15th August 2016

Week 20 and Paul Beard recording the following on his transect walk: Comma (3), Gatekeeper (1), Green-veined White (9), Meadow Brown (8), Peacock (7), Red Admiral (2), Small Skipper (1), and Speckled Wood (1).
Outside of the transect area a Painted Lady was noted, and non-butterfly species included: 2 Buzzards and a family of Whitethroat; Azure and Emerald Damselflies; and Common Darter and Brown Hawker (2) dragonflies.
