2 Mute Swans, 6 Mandarins at least, 5 Gadwall, drake Shoveler, 11 Teal, 11 Tufteds, 2 Goldeneye, single Goosander, 8 Buzzards, 1 Sparrowhawk, 4 Oystercatchers, first Common Tern of the year arrived 1315 and was still present at tea-time ( earliest ever here was 2 Apr. 2011), 10 BHGulls thru’, single Herring Gull & 2 GBBGulls ( all second cal year birds), single Kestrel, c60 Swallows, c50 Sand Martins but still only one or two House Martins, 8 Willow Warblers & 7 Chiffchaffs in the immediate West Bank area with 7 Blackcaps and right of the Member’s Hide the first two Reed Warblers were notably early, beaten only by a single on 13 Apr. 2011.
