A quiet vis-mig session at Highoredish was saved by a flock of eight Hawfinches that flew low SW at 1059. That brings the cumulative total since 9 Oct to 74 birds – there has only been fifteen previous records here, all singles. Also a Song Thrush, 4 Bramblings, 97 Chaffinches, c50 Starlings, 51 Wood Pigeons, 9 Siskins, 9 Linnets, 3 Blackbirds, 3 Redpolls, 2 Grey Wags, 8 Redwings with singles of Raven & Snipe. At the res 3 Mute Swans, 4 Tufteds, drake Shoveler, 52 Coots, ad Yellow-l-Gull, 2 Gadwall and 50+ Tree Sparrows.
