A surprise this morning when five Waxwings flew low west calling at 0945, they’ve not been as frequent so far in this second winter period but were recorded earlier in the year when several birds lingered right into May feeding on ivy berries near Church Farm. Also 3 Mute Swans, drake Mandarin, 11 Gadwall, 6 Tufteds, 4+ L.Grebes, 95 Coots (a good total for here though the old maximum is 200), 2 Buzzards, 2 Sparrowhawks, ad Yellow-l-Gull, c30 Linnets, 4 Redpolls & Siskins heard.
