John Parlby visited the reserve around midday and saw 5/6 Speckled Wood, 2 Red Admiral, and at least 8 Comma.
A few hours later, Paul Beard carried out the week 26 butterfly transect walk and recorded 2 Speckled Wood, 1 Red Admiral and 4 Comma. Other species noted were 3+ male Southern Hawker, 1 Common Darter, 1 Common Buzzard, Nuthatch and Great Spotted Woodpecker.
