A 1stW Yellow-l-Gull at midday and 3 Caspian Gulls in the roost (ad, 1st & 3rdW).

Quiet this morning with a Mute Swan, 7 Canadas, c50 Greylags, 3 Goldeneye, Sparrowhawk, 2 Buzzards, 4 Little Grebes and a pale adult presumed Glaucous/Herring Gull hybrid.

A single Pinkfoot with the Greylag flock, 7 Canadas, 8 Gadwall, 4 Goldeneye (all males, two adults), 4 Ravens & 2 Redpolls. A feature so far this winter has been the good number of large gulls present throughout the day … Continue reading →

Nothing reported from earlier in the day. The last hour or so on the west bank revealed 2x 1stW Yellow-l-Gulls in a sizeable roost, 2 Goldeneye, 2 Goosander and c 40 Redwings.

3 Mute Swans, 2 Greylags, 24 Tufteds, drake Pochard, 4 Goldeneye, drake Goosander, 26 GCGrebes, 2 Kingfishers. 6 Whooper Swans arrived late afternoon (2 juveniles) but little of interest in the roost.
