Hybrid Pochard/Tufted Duck, Osprey at 1510, singles of Black-tailed Godwit & Common Sandpiper plus 3 Common Terns.

1 Mute Swan, 135 Canada & 94 Greylag Geese, 5 Mandarins, 4 Teal, fem Gadwall with nine young still, 61 Tufted Ducks, 6 Oystercatchers, 10 LRPlovers included two chicks, 2 Common Sands, 1 Redshank & 1 Common Tern.

1 Mute Swan, 2 female Mandarins both with four quite small young, 69 Mallard, female Gadwall still with a brood of nine ducklings, 48 Tufted Ducks and a drake Pochard/Tufted hybrid, 17 Coots, 1 Oystercatcher, 11 LRPlovers with two chicks … Continue reading →

2 Teal, 5 Oystercatchers, 1 Ringed Plover, 2 Common Terns & 2CY Yellow-legged Gull. Also of interest over the weekend was a Common Hawker at Highoredish, possibly a new dragonfly species for the res.

Drake Tufted/Pochard hybrid, 3 Oystercatchers, 2 Common Terns & a Sand Martin. Late evening 6 Curlews dropped in onto the west bank.

3 Teal, 3 Oystercatchers, 1 Ringed & 11 LRPlovers inc. two chicks, 1 Redshank & 1 Common Tern.
