This page aims to provide a daily update on bird sightings for Ogston Reservoir.
It typically provides details of some of the more notable sightings, however sightings for all species are very important to us so please submit these to the Recording Secretary (see details below).
Please note that records of certain sensitive species may not be published here (for the club’s ‘Sensitive species’ list please refer to the ‘Policies and Procedures’ section of the website).
However ALL records received are entered into the Ogston Bird Club database and subsequently submitted to the Derbyshire Ornithological Society (DOS) and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust (DWT).

1 Pink-footed Goose, 36 Greylag Geese, 1 Mandarin, 5 Wigeon, 38 Teal, 2 Shovelers, 1000+ Redwings over Highoredish between 09:00 and 12:00 (900+ in the first hour).
