Moth Trapping JMNR 10th September

The moth trap was set up on 10th September at 8-8.30 pm. Near the trap while setting up were 2 Straw Dot, 2 Silver y, 1 Large Yellow Underwing and 1 Mother of Pearl.

In the trap in the morning was: 1 Mother of Pearl, 1 Canary-shouldered Thorn, 1 Small Square-spot, 2 Silver y, 2 Centre-barred Sallow, 1 Common Marbled Carpet agg., 1 Copper Underwing agg., 3 Green Carpet, 2 Square-spot Rustic, 1 Dingy Footman, 2 Straw Dot, 1 Large Yellow Underwing and 1 Eudonia angustea. There were several caddisflies, one species identifiable as Limnephilus lunatus, a beetle Nicrophorus investigator and a beetle Nebria sp.

Species in bold are first records for the site.
