Butterfly transect week 3 – J Parlby, 14:00, 16°C, clear skies. Summary of butterflies seen: 8 Brimstone, 16 Orange tip, 7 Peacock. An additional 6 Orange tip butterflies were seen off transect.

Sightings and butterfly transect week 1 – D Clay, 8°C, 12:15, sporadic sunshine, mostly overcast. No butterflies recorded Buff tailed Bumble seen. Flowers in bloom: Lesser Celandine, Herb Robert, Primrose, Cowslip, Red Dead-nettle, Forget me not, Bittercress and Violets.
