Highlights were three Arctic Terns briefly 0850-55 and a female Redstart in the ‘shrike bushes’ just south of the main car park. Also 2 Mute Swans, Pink-footed Goose, 6+ Gadwall, 10 Teal, 2 Mandarins, 6 Common Sands, 2 Oystercatchers (sadly it appears the nesting pair have been predatedĀ almost atĀ the hatching stage), 3 Common Terns, c10 Swifts, 4 Sedge Warblers, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and the first Garden Warbler of the year singing & showing well in bushes adjacent to the public hide. This becomes the 136th species recorded at Ogston so far this year.
