A quiet morning with 2 Mute Swans, Pink-footed Goose, 2 Mandarins, 2 Shoveler (a pair), 8 Gadwall, 2 Oystercatchers, adult Peregrine and a Raven. Unfortunately it seems our fears about the Oystercatchers failed breeding were correct, they always looked vulnerable on the island having relocated from the Chapel Bay tern rafts where they have bred successfully in recent years. It appears the moving of the tern raft further into the bay made it less attractive to them, this being actioned by the Sailing Club, apparently without consultation of any kind.
