Three Avocets arrived early afternoon, only the sixth record and the best ever count with four singles and a pair previously all in spring between 14 March & 16 June. 19 Barnacle Geese arrived at 0845 and settled with Canada Geese off the car park and a Hobby drifted through at 0910. Also 3 Little Egrets, 204 Mallard, 46 Teal (plus the Yellow-billed Teal), 3 Gadwall, just a single Mandarin, 9 Little Grebes, Tawny Owl calling in the Sailing Club, 2 Kingfishers and singles of Willow Tit & Whitethroat.
