A Black Swan with the Canada & Greylag Geese, 4+ Mandarins, 9 Gadwall, pair of Shoveler, 23 Teal, 3 Goldeneye, an (the?) Osprey from 1510 until at least 1630, 4 Common Sandpipers, third-summer Yellow-legged Gull, the first Whitethroat of the year by the car park (earliest ever 12 April 1993), Reed Warbler by the main hide still, a Wheatear in front of the car park was the first this year; none were recorded in spring last year (earliest ever 11 March 1963 must have been a sight for sore eyes after that winter) and a singing Yellowhammer.
