Another good day; Vis-mig at Highoredish produced a Great White Egret east at 1225-30 over Ashover Rock and down to the res but not seen subsequently having presumably continued SE over the dam wall. Also 6+ C.Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Peregrine & Kestrel, 1390 Wood Pigeons, 16 Skylarks, c100 Starlings, 617 Redwings, 58 Fieldfares, c5 Pied Wags, 19 Mipits, 6 Crossbills W at 0840 inc at least two red males, 6 more Hawfinches (3+2+1) making 49 in total, 42 Redpolls, 148 Chaffinches, 24 Siskins & 2 Bramblings. Later down at the res 7 Shoveler, a Pintail, a Little Egret, a Goshawk, the first Water Rail of the year (heard only), ad Yellow-l-Gull & a Stonechat.
