Three Ospreys, two juveniles and an adult, still present this morning but in a poor autumn for ‘shorebirds’ so far the highlight was a group of four Whimbrel that flew west at 1255. Five Common Snipe were the first for some time but apart from that things were pretty static with 7 Mandarins, 2 Little Grebes, a few Teal, Ad. Yellow-l-Gull, a Whinchat and two Yellow Wagtails. In poor conditions for visible migration a trickle of Meadow Pipits was indicative of the advancing season.
