Searching for Raptors near Bakewell

Meeting Point: Park just before or under the bridge where the Monsal Trail crosses the road (see map) Time: 09:30 Lunch: optional – intended as morning meet Transport: Members cars Cost: free Leader: Martin Kaye

The intention is to walk up the track to the head of the dale scanning the woods both left and right for raptors and birds of wood and grassland. There’s a good chance, if the conditions are right, to get 5 species of raptor. The track can be very muddy so walking boots are essential. Easy walking – 4 km to head of valley and return.
