Adult Pink-footed Goose, 4 Gadwall,2 Mandarins, 4 Tufteds, 2 Pochard, 5 Goldeneye, 10+ Snipe, 2 Oystercatchers and a trickle of Meadow Pipits north.

A Little Ringed Plover flew through calling at 1145. Also an adult Pink-footed Goose on the west bank, 2 Mute Swans, 5 Gadwall, 5 Goldeneye, 8 Tufteds, 4 Oystercatchers, c10 C.Buzzards, 2 Ravens, 12 Fieldfares & 9 Redwings.

2 Mute Swans, 2 Mandarins, 6 Goldeneye, 2 Oystercatchers, 1 Meadow Pipit south, 2 Tree Sparrows west, single Linnet & Yellowhamer over.

A Mute Swan, 7 Mandarins, 7 Gadwall, 1 Wigeon, 12 Tufteds, 2 Pochard, 7 Goldeneye, 2 Goosander, 10 G.C.Grebes, 4 Oystermacatchers, a Curlew, 2 Ravens, 2/3 Grey Wagtails and a Dipper on the river.

A Red Kite moved through and a Goshawk, possibly a different bird to the one seen recently, showed well. 3 Curlews came in later and an apparent Glaucous/Herring Gull hybrid was in the roost with a possible 3rdW Caspian gull. … Continue reading →
