Today’s highlight was a Black Redstart found early afternoon in the Brackenfield Church/Butterfield Farm area, only the fifth site record and the first since 2003. Also today a good count of 14 Gadwall, 10 Wigeon, 6 Tufteds & 2 Goldeneye.

10 Wigeon, Yellow-billed Teal, drake Mandarin & 2 Goldeneye with c60 Fieldfares >SW and a Brambling. There was an obvious southerly movement of big gulls, mostly Herring with a few Lessers and three Greater black-backs.
