Birds: Blackbird, Blue Tit, Common Buzzard, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Whitethroat, Wren.
Butterflies: Comma, Gatekeeper, Green-veined White, Large White, Meadow Brown, Peacock, Ringlet, Small Copper, Small Tortoiseshell, Small White.
Moths: Shaded Broad-bar, Yellow Shell.
Damselflies: Emerald, Large Red.
Dragonflies: Brown Hawker.
Others: Common Frog, Common Toad; Water Vole (droppings).
Flowers: There is currently plenty of Knapweed and Thistle in flower to attract butterflies, and one of the Buddleja is a mass of flowers. Common Hemp-nettle is more abundant than in previous years, mainly in C1; note that we have the white-flowering plants rather than the usual pink-purple ones.
