An interesting day; 5 Mandarins, a Shoveler, a drake Pochard, a Great White Egret again in the afternoon, a juvenile male Goshawk low over the car park, a 1stW Med Gull through at 1140 with BHGulls, 3 Ravens, c150 House Martins and the year’s first Whinchat on the car park fence ( just after I’d left incidentally). Vis-mig was unspectacular with 45 Mipits SW, c25 Swallows SW, 30 House Martins SW/NW, 4 Pied, one Grey & one Yellow Wag S/SW, 4 Skylarks and 2 Tree Sparrows.
