Another fantastic month at Ogston with a total of 101 species reported from 1129 sightings.
The total for the year to date now stands at 130 species from 6080 sightings.

Artic Tern (1 on 19th), Avocet (2 on 1st), Black Tern (4 on 1st), Common Gull (max of 2 on 3 occasions), Common Sandpiper (max of 2 on 17 occasions), Common Tern (max of 2, almost daily), Cuckoo (1 on 12th), Curlew (max of 2 on 2 occasions), Dunlin (3 on 3rd, 2 on 4th), Garden Warbler (max of 3 almost daily), Goosander (1 on 14th and 15th), Hobby (max of 2 on 5 occasions), House Martin (max of 50 on 12 occasions), Kingfisher (single birds on 3 occasions), Lesser Redpoll (single sighting on 3rd), Little Egret (max of 5, almost daily), Little Ringed Plover (almost daily), Mandarin Duck (max of 17 on 14 occasions), Mute Swan (max of 8 on 14 occasions), Osprey (single birds on 3 occasions), Oystercatcher (max of 6, almost daily), Peregrine Falcon (1 on 18th), Raven (max of 2 on 6 occasions), Red Kite (max of 2 on 7 occasions), Redshank (1 from 4th to 6th), Ringed Plover (max of 10 on 10 occasions), Ruff (max of 4 from 1st to 3rd), Sand Martin (max of 60 on 17 occasions), Shoveler (max of 3 on 5 occasions), Siskin (1 on 13th), Snipe (singles on 3 occasions early in the month), Swallow (max of 150, almost daily), Swift (max of 60 on 17 occasions), Teal (2 on 7 occasions, early in the month then also at end of month), Wheatear (1 on 13th), Whimbrel (singles on 4 occasions), Whitethroat (on 8 occasions), Wigeon (1 on 9th to 10th), Willow Tit (2 on 14th), Wood Sandpiper (1 on 4th), Yellow Wagtail (max of 5 from 2nd to 4th), Yellow-legged Gull (singles on 1st and 4th).
