Butterfly sightings from the week 24 transect walk by Alan Kydd: Speckled Wood (5), and one unidentified White.

Sightings – Nikki M Wren, Woodpigeon, juv. and adult Moorhen, Goldfinch, juvenile Bullfinch Common Darter, Emerald damselfly, 4 Southern Hawker, 1 Brown Hawker, 1 Azure damselfly Butterflies: 17 Speckled Wood, 2 GV White, 1 Small Tortoiseshell Moths: Brown China Mark

A Comma and a Speckled Wood were seen by John Parlby, both butterflies were said to be “pristine”.

Juvenile Moorhen in the Hide Pond, Wood Pigeon. Green-veined White (1), Speckled Wood (1). Juvenile Toad.

Butterfly sightings from the week 23 transect walk by Nikki Mahadevan: Red Admiral (1), Small Tortoiseshell (1), Peacock (1), Speckled Wood (10). A Green-veined White and a Small Copper were also seen after the transect walk had been completed.
