5 Shoveler, 2 Wigeon, a Goosander, a Merlin, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Grey Plovers in the afternoon were the first of the year, ad Yellow-l-Gull, Grey Wagtail. Visible migration was light but varied with 100 Meadow Pipits, 36 Siskins, 2 Goldfinches, 20 Redwings, 31 Chaffinches, a Reed Bunting, 10 Pied Wags, 6 Swallows (with 32 at the res),4 Linnets, 2 Yellowhammers, 8 Redpolls (c30 st the Res),3 Song Thrushes, 15 Skylarks. Highlight was a high flying & ’shivery’ calling Dunnock
