JMNR Sightings October 28th 2016

A mild autumn day on the reserve. Two Common Darter were seen over Bottom Pond and a Red Admiral butterfly in section 3 of the butterfly transect. Additional sightings:

Buzzard, Jackdaw, Nuthatch, Long-tailed tit, Blue tit, Great tit, Wren, Robin.
Nettle Tap moth, Noon fly, Marmalade Hoverfly, Syritta pipiens (a hoverfly), Sepsis fulgens (an ensign fly), Mydaea Corni (a house fly), a couple of unidentified ichneumon wasps, Birch Shield bug, Common Flower bug.
Isolated plants in flower: dandelion, Silverweed, Hogweed.
