2 Mute Swans, 22 Mandarins, 2 Gadwall, 2 Teal, 111 Tufteds, 2 Pochard, three groups of Goosanders each of 10-15 birds went through in the afternoon, the Little Grebes in Chapel Bay have two small chicks, regular Osprey 0840-0930 at least then left SW ( present off & on since 8 Aug), 8 Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, juv f. Peregrine, ‘brown’ Merlin over fields north of the res, ad Yellow-l-Gull, 20+ Swifts, Kingfisher, c 90 Goldfinches. The first vis-mig from Highoredish 0645-0745 yielded little; just 13 Swallows and a single Tree Sparrow.
