4 Mute Swans, 122 Tufteds, Pochard, Little Egret, 63 Lapwings, 2 C.Snipe, 5 Whimbrel high over the res drifted west at 1115 and another was heard distantly at 1245, c25 Swifts, c20 Sand Martins, c100 House Martins, Spotted Flycatcher in the car park. A Tree Pipit over the main car park late afternoon was our first of the year (no.148) and an Osprey arrived at 1210, not the regular bird, possibly last Thursday’s second individual.
