7 Gadwall, 19 Tufteds, 2 Pochard, 4 Goldeneye, 7 Goosander, a nice covey of 9 Grey Partridges – the first this year and indicative of successful breeding of a species very much on the edge locally, 40 GCGrebes (most so far), 5 Little Grebes, 238 Lapwings, 21 Common Snipe, 4 Lesser Redpolls, a Hawfinch in trees behind the west bank unusually, c30 Chaffinches on a harvested cereal field with c25 Yellowhammers & c20 ReedBuntings. Later an adult Mediterranean Gull in the roost.
