Fem Garganey still present; this must be one of, if not the longest staying Garganey here. Historically records span the dates 20 Mar (1993) to 10 October (1981), usually ones & twos with a max of seven on 14 August 1970. A drake on 24 May was the first since 2011 so two in a year is a big improvement. Also 11 Little Grebes, a Common Snipe, ad Yellow-l-Gull. A small group of gulls on the water included a first-year GBBGull, a similarly aged Herring Gull and an ‘intermedius’ type Lesser. A large group of c300 LBBGulls later circled over Carr Wood, presumably having been disturbed off local fields.
