Ten Goldeneye were fresh in with a family group of Mute Swans, 2 ads & 2 juvs and a Rock Pipit was heard.

42 Redwings south, c95 Starlings SW and three Skylarks S before the rain set in. Also a drake Goldeneye, Goosander, ad Yellow-l-Gull, 2 Ravens and the Red-breasted Goose.

The hides were much appreciated this morning in the heavy rain, good weather for ducks. 94 Teal, 10 Gadwall, 8 Wigeon, 3 f. Pochard, 1 Goldeneye, 1 f. Mandarin and 5 Shelduck with 5 Snipe and a Grey Wagtail.

116 Greylags, 118 Canadas & the ad Red-breasted Goose with 1 Goldeneye, 2 drake Pochard, 7 Wigeon, 2 Mandarins and 7 Gadwall. Also 18 Lapwings, Common Snipe and the first Dunlin for a while. c100 Fieldfares flew S as did one … Continue reading →

An ad Red-breasted Goose with 68 Greylags was an  undoubted  escape but beautiful none the less. Also ad Yellow-l-Gull, c20 Skylarks south and a Redpoll.
