Week 5 – John Parlby recorded Comma, Green-veined White (4), Orange-tip (5), Peacock (2) and Speckled Wood (2). Three other white butterflies encountered on the transect evaded precise identification.
It was the turn of the Middle Pond to be checked for any adult dragonflies and damselflies, but none were seen there. (Large Red Damselfly was recorded on the reserve on 2nd May.)
